After moving from the Pacific Northwest to North Alabama, I couldn’t find real sourdough bread in my area. Using some 100 year old starter given to me from a friend, I started to make my own bread. It was the perfect creative outlet for my homesickness.

On a whim in 2020, I took a small batch of loaves down to the farmers market three blocks from my house. Six years later, I’m still showing up there with authentic sourdough bread fermented over three days with just flour, water and salt. During the market season, I bake weekly for a very loyal community of customers, many of whom have been with me since the beginning!
